Over the last few years, our middle school science classrooms have evolved from traditional spaces into an individualized learning environments. The approach we have used has permanently changed how we interact with our students in the classroom. We would like to highlight how we have successfully inspired a new breed of learners through the use of iPads, Apps, FREE Web Based Programs, Flipped Classroom, Blended Inquiry, Hooks and more. Our classrooms have gone from one-size fits all to customizable learning environments that target how individual students learn best. In this session, we will highlight how we have used: 1) Focused mini lectures 2) Flipped Classroom 3) iPads 4) Schoology 5) Inquiry and 6) Gamification.
