Plan, Trust, Expect: Achieving Confidence to Integrate

You have iPads. You’ve engaged in training. You are listening. You are inspired. You are reaching for redefinition on the SAMR scale. Nonetheless, you are overwhelmed. This session will lead the novice/intermediate user into a comfort zone by learning to set realistic expectations. From the trenches of a seasoned teacher, see examples of student work produced during the first year of implementation. You will gain a sense of how to balance your teaching: when to plan the technical skills learning curve, when to trust student intuition, when to expect technology to become invisible.

With student work from primarily 4 creation apps, (Explain Everything, iMovie, Book Creator, Draw and Tell), we will study the process from beginning to end. What really goes on in the classroom? We will learn to ask the questions, anticipate needs, and challenge our students. Learn to feed the curiosity. The key lies in knowing what to expect and how to lead. Participants will leave confident they can begin the fundamental transformation of the educational experience. Integrate, transform, achieve.
